Purpose: The Director of Community Engagement and Academy Giving is responsible for building and maintaining relationships throughout the campus to drive financial support for the school through Community Investment campaigns. As a public charter school network, Great Hearts Texas receives most of its funding from state and federal governments. Community Investment funds provide additional funding to enable our academies to deliver an exceptional education. The Director of Community Engagement and Academy Giving is a key team member charged with telling this story and driving annual financial support from families to support schools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Education, Experience and Skills: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. A minimum of 2 – 3 years of success in a related role (fundraising, sales, or marketing) required.
Computer Skills: Strong proficiency with computer skills including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Drive (Docs/Sheets/Slides) and donor databases. Experience with Raiser’s Edge and Classy is beneficial. Experience utilizing email marketing tools and managing social media outlets is strongly preferred.
Travel Requirements: May need to travel locally to meet with academy families and attend school activities.
Physical Functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
