Job Title: Onboarding Coordinator (Temporary)

Reports To: Director of People Operations

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly (Not Benefits Eligible)

Pay Range: $20-$24/hour

Location: Great Hearts America Home Office (Phoenix)

The People Operations Team supports the entire Great Hearts network and is obsessed with process improvement. The People Operations Coordinator supports the efforts of the People Operations Team through managing employee onboarding and employee inquiries. This person is responsible for continuously improving the administrative work in the People team, which directly improves the employee experience and enables other members of the People Team provide better service. The People Operations Coordinator must be highly organized with excellent interpersonal skills, have a strong inclination for action, and be focused on creating a positive experience.

This is a temporary position.             

Responsibilities

·        Manage employee onboarding, employee data entry, employee status changes, offer letter creation, candidate travel reimbursement, etc.

·        Answer and resolve employee inquiries related to People Operations systems

·        Conduct employee data audits to ensure accuracy.

·        Support report requests, as needed, from the People Team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 1+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • 2+ years experience using Microsoft Office, with a strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Flexible thinker, able to effectively learn, adapt, and prioritize quickly
  • Ability to thrive in an academic and entrepreneurial culture, interacting with all levels of management, staff, and stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work with minimal daily supervision, managing multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources or HR Operations/Onboarding.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve and enhance processes.
  • PHR/SPHR Certification

Type of fingerprint clearance: At minimum, shall be fingerprint checked pursuant to ARS 15-512; however, if serving as a school board member, the HR Director will be required to possess a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card. 

Physical functions: Must be able to remain in a stationary (standing or sitting) position for 75%-100% of the time. 

Equipment used: Frequent computer use is expected. 

Work Environment: May be required to move or position equipment up to 10-15 pounds. 

Travel required:  

  • Must have the ability to travel locally to the various academies within the Phoenix metro area.  
  • Ability to be flexible to accommodate after-hour volunteer fingerprinting at assigned academies.
