What will I be doing?  

ü  GIS Administration: Administer the enterprise GIS system, provide technical support to GIS users, troubleshoot common GIS software and data issues, and offer guidance on data retrieval and usage

ü  Data Management: Organize, store, and maintain geospatial data (both raster and vector) in the database, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and proper metadata documentation

ü  Remote Sensing Data Management: Manage the Agency's remote sensing data, including LiDAR, satellite imagery, and bi-annual collection of aerial imagery

ü  ArcGIS Online and Server Management: Oversee the Agency's ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Server systems, including account and content management.

ü  Geospatial Data Gateway: Maintain the Agency's Geospatial Data Gateway (ArcGIS HUB site) and serve as a point of contact for internal and external requests for geospatial data

ü  Data Backup: Contribute to regular backups of GIS data and ensure data recovery procedures are in place in case of data loss

 

Key Qualifications 

ü  Working experience with ESRI GIS Platforms such as ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, ArcCatalog, ArcGIS Hub, ArcGIS Online, and Enterprise geospatial databases (ArcSDE, etc.),

ü  Strong understanding of GIS principles, spatial data concepts, geospatial data formats (raster and vector), and coordinate systems

ü  Spatial data analytical skills, database management (SQL), and scripting (Python)

ü  Familiarity with remote sensing principles, satellite imagery, aerial photography, LiDAR, and experience with such data collection, manipulation, and distribution

ü  Ability to learn, adopt to new technologies, and having a strong written and verbal communication skills

ü  Substantial experience (3+ years) as a GIS Administrator, Analyst, Specialist, or Technician in geospatial spatial data development, management, and analysis  

Do you have… 

ü  Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study 

ü  3 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties
