Position:  Manager, Bankruptcy & 3rd Party Servicing

Location:  Atlanta/Hybrid work model

The Opportunity:  The Manager, Bankruptcy & 3rd Party Servicing will manage the Bankruptcy team and 3rd party collection vendors to ensure compliance with FDCPA, collection regulatory/legal requirements and company policies. Also, the manager will drive process improvement within Account Recovery, while working on special projects per business needs.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the performance of the Bankruptcy Team
  • Interview, hire and train employees which includes establishing, building, and monitoring SLAs for the Bankruptcy team
  • Ability to facilitate discussions between the business and 3rd party vendors
  • Establish, maintain, and deliver a training curriculum for new hires and existing employees within the team
  • Help manage 1 st and 3rd party vendor relationships that support Account Recovery’s efforts
  • Assist with the Debt Selling, Third Party Agencies, and Charge-Off processes
  • Develop and maintain standardized reporting and analysis that will identify gaps and allow leadership to act on findings and recommendations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, internal and external partners, and others in driving customer experience and account recovery improvements
  • Document detailed business analysis, problem/issues, opportunities, and recommended solutions for business
  • Take on any additional projects or tasks assigned by leadership
  • Drive process improvement across the different areas within the Account Recovery department 

The Experience You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a general area of study or 10+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years of management experience in Financial Servicing/Collections/Call Center environments
  • 3+ years of consumer bankruptcy servicing experience
  • 3+ years of paralegal experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with cost benefit analysis
  • Experience with process mapping and modeling
  • Working knowledge of the FDCPA, TCPA, and UDAAP in a day-to-day setting
  • Working knowledge of all Bankruptcy laws and industry standard operating procedures and best practices
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, co-workers, clients, and customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple responsibilities
