Hanford Laboratory and Management Integration, LLC (HLMI) is recruiting for a Work Control Planner in Richland, WA.    

This position will support Hanford Laboratory Management and Integration, LLC (HLMI). HLMI is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The HLMI members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).  

 

Job Description:    

Responsible for developing work packages using HLMI Work Control Processes and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) for corrective/preventive maintenance, modification, fabrication, select operational activities, expense-based project construction of 222-S Laboratory structures/systems/components. Applies knowledge of Work Control Planner principles and practices in assignments and related work.  

 

Responsibilities:    

Work Control Planner has the following general responsibilities: Under general supervision, this position will:  

  • Analyze planning processes for efficiency and make recommendations to management.  

  • Prepare and/or verify accuracy of work orders and work activity schedules.   

  • Prepare, track, and control work orders required to accomplish assigned activities.   

  • Review and analyze work documents for proper classification, priority, and description.   

  • Prepare work documents in accordance with work control processes. Incorporate input from engineering and field work supervision regarding estimates of man hours, materials, and manpower needed for completion of job.   

  • Assist in the development of work orders for complex and high-risk work activities.  

  • Support and track material requisition.  

Senior Work Control Planners have these additional responsibilities: Under minimal supervision this position will:  

  • Act as subject matter expert in areas of specialization such as asbestos planner.  

  • Provide mentoring and oversight to less senior members of the planning team.  

  • Develop work orders for complex and high-risk work activities.  

  • Conduct planning meetings and provides planning status to project schedules.  

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

Grade 17:  

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) and 6 years of practical work experience in maintenance, construction, work planning, or related area, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.  

  • Knowledge of operational, maintenance work activities, and maintenance planning required.  

 

Grade 18:  

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) and 8 years of practical work experience in maintenance, construction, work planning, or related area, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.   

  • Knowledge of operational, maintenance work activities, and maintenance planning required.  

 

Preferred Qualifications :  

  • Maintenance or construction experience highly desirable.   

  • Knowledge of planning at Hanford, national laboratory, or at a Category 3 Nuclear Facility is desired.   

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)  

Work Control Planner III Grade 17: $92,238 - $116,213    

Work Control Planner, Sr Grade 18: $101,525 - $128,075  

 

The grade level offered to the selected candidate will be based on business needs and the candidate's education, training, and/or relevant experience.
