ATL International is actively recruiting for a remote Data Science Analyst (Analyst/Project Manager) to support our federal client. The position will provide the Program data insights, including data management and analytics support, to meet the CDC’s World Trade Center Health Program needs. This includes providing the first line of quality assurance for data integrity and accuracy. The Data Science Analyst will initially support the major vendor transitions and continue to support after transitions as requested.

The Data Science Analyst (Analyst/Project Manager) will apply advanced analytics skills and/or extensive  technical expertise, comprehensive industry knowledge of healthcare and health plans. Incumbent develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction; mentors and may serve as a lead team member.

Duties:

  • Explore and exploit data sources through the use and creation of scientific processes and technologies to uncover and communicate business insights.
  • Responsible for analyzing all data to support implementation and operational efforts during vendor transition to assure continuity of care though functioning business operations and data exchanges.
  • Performs analysis of data sets including eligibility and claims data
  • Becomes a subject matter expert in WTCHP data sets and data exchanges
  • Explore data sets and data sources to ensure business insights to improve vendor transition outcome
  • Partner with IT project teams, data warehouse teams, application development teams on data engineering and assess integrity of data for operational use and proper exchange across vendors.
  • Perform validation and ensure quality standards for complex data management processes created by peers and team partners.
  • Perform validation and QA on healthcare claims analysis, other eligibility and data exchanges along with other ad hoc requests.
  • Use technical and business acumen to deliver insightful, high-quality visualizations, and recommendations to both our team and our clients.

Special Considerations or Requirements :

The knowledge, skills and abilities are specific and shall include:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years directly related experience or master’s degree and 3+ years directly related experience. Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree for certain roles. Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain technical roles.
  •  Possess a solid understanding of claims data and Health Plan operations and benefit offerings.
  • Experience with SAS or SQL preferred.
  • Experience working in health plans or healthcare benefit programs including Medicaid, Medicare, Veteran’s Administration, Defense Health Agency and other public or private program’s ability to partner cross functionally within the government agency and externally with vendor partners effectively
  • Current or recent experience in a large, highly matrixed program/company, with proven ability to influence leaders and key stakeholders in such an environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences
