Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International, Inc. (a PSI company) has partnered with Navarro Research and Engineering, inc. to form Hanford Laboratories and Management Integration (HLMI).  We are seeking applicants for one open Training Specialist position for the 222-S Laboratory, a DOE facility specializing in the analysis of highly radioactive samples. Work location is in the  200W Area of the Hanford Site near Richland, WA.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

Under general supervision candidate must be able to complete the following duties: 

  • Developing and revising training materials for the positions supporting 222-S Laboratory operations, documenting their approval, and maintaining the approved documents
  • Developing and maintaining the HLMI Training webpage
  • Coordinating Needs analyses and Job/ Task analyses in the development of training
  • Assisting managers in the managers’ responsibility to ensure staff are trained and qualified prior to performing work.
  • Assisting managers in ensuring that training option sets / curricula for job positions include all required courses for the role.
  • Assisting managers in updating training plans
  • Periodically conducting training
  • Working with on-the-job trainers and evaluators to ensure OJT/OJE requirements and expectations are met.
  • Functioning as a Training subject matter expert for 222-S staff. May function as Technical Authority for Training procedures
  • Submitting completed training records to HMIS
  • Coordinating and proctoring exams
  • Interfacing with Procedure Writers to ensure procedures and training materials are aligned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 or more years of job-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as training specialist at Hanford or nuclear facility.
  • Experience with Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) and the ADDIE model.
  • Experience with VISION.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems.
