Position Overview:
A Critical Power Systems Engineer role is to evaluate the need of a Telecommunications System and design an appropriate power solution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of critical power systems within our Telecommunications infrastructure. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining power systems that support our network operations and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, Develop, and assist in implementation of critical power solutions for telecommunications facilities, including Backup Power System: UPS, DC Power Systems, Batteries, Inverters, and Converters
2. Conduct thorough assessments of power requirements and capacity planning to support network expansions and upgrades.
3. Perform regular evaluations of critical power equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
4. Troubleshoot and resolve power related issues, including outages and equipment failures.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, facility managers, manufacturers, and vendors, to coordinate power related projects and initiatives
6. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to critical power systems and recommended enhancements or improvements as needed
7. Develop and maintain documentation, including schematics, manuals, and procedures for critical power systems and equipment.
8. Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers and technicians as needed

Flexible start and end of day work hours; e.g. 7am – 4pm/7:30am – 4:30pm/8am-5pm
Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Related Field
Office Environment with an occasional site visit (PPE required during site visit)
