Cybersecurity Engineer

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services. Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.

Cybersecurity Engineer Job Description: 

Be part of the key Cyber engineering team that is building new security architectures across a large and critical DoD system of systems. Provide Cyber engineering expertise, while understanding architectural need and finding cyber solutions that can fit that need. 

Cybersecurity Engineer Basic Qualifications: 

·       Experience in scripting languages like Python

·       Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

·       Knowledge with Linux systems and large system development

·       Experience or understanding of basic networking switch/router/firewall/IDS concepts

·       Experience in researching new Cybersecurity capabilities, performing trade studies, and providing expertise to peers and leadership

·       Qualified candidates must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. This requires U.S. citizenship. 

Cybersecurity Engineer Desired skills: 

·       A desire to create new network and system capability and develop from design

·       Cloud experience such as Kubernetes and containers

·       Creative thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and a continuous learning mindset

Cybersecurity Engineer Additional Requirements: 

·       Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Master’s degree.

·       Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen.

·       Proactive/self-starter. Task driven with ability to work independently.

·       Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships that foster team success.

Job: Full-Time Employee, 40 hours/week
