Great Hearts Academies is a nonprofit charter management organization (CMO) that operates classical preparatory K-12 public charter schools. Our academies cultivate the minds and hearts of students through the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Position Summary
Participate in a growing new team within Great Hearts. A member of the small team of Development Data Specialists responsible for constituent and gift entry into Raiser’s Edge and other payment platforms (Centralized Development Operations), donation acknowledgement and data hygiene and maintenance. The Development Data Entry Specialist plays a key role in the successful operation of an evolving Development Department of Centralized Development Operations. The Development Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently maintaining the integrity of the Great Hearts Development database as directed by the Development Systems Supervisor. The candidate should see data as an information tool to help the team achieve success. The right candidate will be customer service focused, resourceful and can thrive in a fast-paced environment with superior attention to detail. This position requires an organized, proactive, and energetic individual who will work effectively with donors, corporations, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths
Education and/or Experience: Relational database experience within a fundraising environment. Raiser’s Edge experience 1+ years. Knowledge of Blackbaud products, Raiser's Edge & Direct Marketing, preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school to include emphasis in word or data processing/secretarial support or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to learn by example and ability to type 30+wpm.
Certification: None required.
Language skills : Strong spoken and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Reasoning ability : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to take decisive action and accept direction.
Additional Requirements
Type of fingerprint clearance: Must possess or obtain valid Arizona Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance card.
Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
