Great Hearts Academies is a non-profit charter management organization (CMO) that operates classical preparatory K-12 public charter schools. Great Hearts Texas will serve over 6,000 students at 12 schools in the San Antonio and Dallas/Fort Worth metro areas during the 2020-21 school year. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management in supporting designated Academies. This position may carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management strongly preferred.
Experience: Must have 2-5 years of general Human Resources experience required.
Licenses or certifications
Licenses or certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.
Type of fingerprint clearance: TXDPS fingerprint clearance.
Physical functions: Must be able to remain in a stationary (standing or sitting) position for 75%-100% of the time.
Equipment used: Frequent computer use is expected.
Work Environment: May be required to move or position equipment up to 10-15 pounds.
