Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Summary:
The Customer Service Representative will work in a variety of areas such as answering phones, perform duties at the scale house, and work at the bulk sales yard. The Customer Service Representative will also operate a computer terminal to input customer data and assure proper charges to customers; receive and count money, make change and prepare related reports; assist customers in product purchasing and applications. Accurately judge/measure incoming yard waste.
$500 sign on bonus at 6 and 12 months of hire.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive and count money, make change and prepare related reports; balance the till daily; assure charged transactions are signed according to established procedures.
- Operate a computer terminal to input customer data and assure proper charges to customer; run and reconcile transaction journals and cash tickets; print daily transaction summaries and close out daily input on computer; perform general data entry, submit reports to supervisor as required.
- Answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Assist customers on product selection, purchasing, and order processing.
- Responsible for keeping office area clean.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Operate a computer terminal to enter data, maintain records and generate reports.
- Operate scales to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles at any of the company facilities; determine appropriate charges for vehicle/customer entering facilities; enter data into computer.
- Record-keeping techniques.
- Basic math and cashiering skills.
- Make change quickly and accurately.
- Observe health and safety regulations.
- Learn company’s organization, operations, policies and objectives.
- Work independently with little direction.
- Work courteously and tactfully with customers and associates.
- Learn basic product knowledge and uses.
Education/Certification:
- Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and one year cash handling or customer service experience.
Experience/Other:
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

- When communicating with others via e-mail or preparing reports. Operate office equipment requiring repetitive arm/hand movements.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
