JOB TITLE: Entry Level General Laborer

SUMMARY: The Entry Level General Laborer loads and unloads trucks, transfers products between tanks, operates a forklift and lifts to move containers/products, and performs general yard duties as assigned.

  • Pump and transfer oil/solvents/tallow to tanks, tanker trucks, and railcars as applicable.
  • Take samples of incoming loads and send to the lab to analyze.
  • Operate valves and pumps to transfer product from one tank to another.
  • Operation of air, steam, oil, and other fluid systems.
  • Lift, move and connect hoses.
  • Assist in field maintenance of process equipment.
  • Wear applicable PP&E per specific product handling.
  • General janitorial duties including but not limited to: keeping the tank farm clean of drips, leaks, etc., storing items, and keeping walk ways clear.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Be able to work independently.
  • Must interact effectively with all coworkers and managers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.


  • Graduation from high school or a GED equivalent.


To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to stand four or more hours per day, frequently lift and move objects up to 80 pounds, and use and operator forklifts, boiler. An individual must also be able to bend, stoop, and drag/carry heavy industrial hoses for up to four hours per day.
