JOB TITLE:  Ground Crew

$500 Sign on bonus @ 6 and 12 months of hire.

SUMMARY:  As a team member on the ground crew you will be completing numerous jobs including: conveyer belt management, load monitoring, plastic picking, general maintenance, compostables sorting and bag plant operations. In this position you will get the opportunity to learn numerous skills at our facility and begin to learn to operate various pieces of equipment.”

KEY INTERFACES: 

  • All levels of Cedar Grove Composting staff

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Perform routine clean-up of work areas on a daily basis.
  • Be able to lift objects up to 50lbs.
  • Familiar with use of hand tools (shovels, rakes and brooms, etc.).
  • Routine maintenance of landscaping including weeding, watering and planting as directed.
  • Wash and clean heavy equipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

  • Must be self-motivated able to meet operational performance standards.
  • Must interact with public in professional manner
  • Must work as a team member.
  • May operate light to medium equipment once fully trained

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school.

EXPERIENCE/OTHER: 

  • History of good employment attendance.
  • Flexible work schedule due to seasonal demands.
  • Have a valid WA Driver’s license.
  • Be able to work flexible hours as necessary

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to stand or walk for four or more hours per day, and frequently lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
