ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Always be NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting
  2. Responsible for the preventive maintenance on all refrigeration and mechanical systems.
  3. Diagnoses refrigeration and mechanical problems and takes appropriate action to correct deficiencies, including performing repairs and interfacing with mechanical contractors.
  4. Installs and replaces refrigeration and mechanical equipment and systems as required.
  5. Cleans and maintains equipment, tools, work sites and shop.
  6. Familiarity with safe and efficient use of a variety of mechanical diagnostic and repair equipment.
  7. Utilizes department apprentices to perform tasks and provide them guidance and training to further their knowledge in the trade.
  8. Understands and complies with federal, state and local regulations.
  9. Understands and complies with Facilities Department and Casino policies and procedures.
  10. Participates in training programs provided by the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to communicate with supervisor
Ability to follow directions
Familiar with Uniform Building and Mechanical Codes
Familiar with closed loop, cooling towers and package units
Experience in using HVAC equipment, gas recovery systems, test equipment and other mechanical diagnostic equipment
Ability to interpret, understand and perform tasks utilizing blueprints and technical manuals
Ability to make rational and effective decisions on the job
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
E.P.A. Certified to operate gas recovery systems
Knowledgeable in Uniform Mechanical Codes
Pass Barona mechanical competency test
Able to work under minimal supervision
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED
Completed an apprenticeship and/or formal training in HVAC
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
At least 6 years experience in HVAC
