We are seeking a Design Engineer 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

What you’ll do: 

  Here's what your typical project will look like:

    • Meet with the customer to understand the security needs and develop requirements and test plans.
    • Identify candidate technologies and evaluate them against the defined requirements. Become an expert on the system and be able to communicate how the system enables the solution and where it's limitations lie.
    • Work with internal teams to assess and resolve all privacy, network security, and scalability concerns for the systems. 
    • Write high quality documentation for system standards and operations. Work hand in hand with installation and administration teams to field the solutions.
    • Continually re-evaluate the systems to ensure they are still effective and actively assess how new technology developments or changes in the environment may require new solutions.
    • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on engineering needs and requirements for system performance, installations, and sustainment programs and provide recommended improvements per industry best practices

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (BS) such as Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
  • Hands on experience designing and deploying different systems
  • System administration experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
  • Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel up to 25%

     Pay Range: $94,425 - $125,900
