In this Project Leader role, you will provide full lifecycle project management support from proposal development and requirements definition to closeout on multiple projects in accordance with MC Dean’s highest standards. You will partner with and coordinate the needs of stakeholders, while proactively identifying opportunities to ensure safety and quality, identify and resolve challenges, and ensure timely, cost efficient, and quality project deliverables.

Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the installation of electronic security systems at multiple facilities.
  • Consistently manage procedures and controls to ensure that security installation projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Performing site security surveys and conducting design reviews.
  • Resolving complex system issues for physical security systems and networks.
  • Running day-to-day project performance including:
    • Ensure work progression per project schedule
    • Estimating and pricing of physical security systems
    • Documenting and submitting change orders
    • Quality control meetings and review of deliverables
    • Manpower planning and tracking
  • Creating project budgets, managing procurement of materials and equipment and maintaining cost controls.
  • Creating milestone payment plans or other invoicing structures per contract requirements
  • Collaborating and coordinating with stakeholders including customers, contractors, engineers, drafters, etc. 
  • Developing subcontractor and consultant SOWs and agreements and conducting work-scope negotiations.
  • Preparing and delivering daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding performance, schedules, logs, finances, action item, etc.
  • Facilitating and organizing meetings with internal and external organizations.
  • Ensuring team development and mentoring junior staff.

Position / Candidate Requirements

  • This position requires the applicant to hold an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ Years of progressive experience, as stated below or
  • Master's Degree and 5+ Years of progressive experience in the following

Required Progressive Experience 

  • Engineering/Design
    • Design, Installation, Integration, and Testing of Electronic Security Systems 
    • Hands on engineering experience such as surveys, design, pre-installation coordination, installation, or post installation testing/commissioning.
    • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings on electrical projects. 
    • Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Project Management
    • Proven knowledge of Government contract structures and vehicles
    • Creation and maintenance of project budgets, financial forecasts, and invoicing plans.
    • Creation and maintenance of project schedules utilizing Critical Path Method.
    • Managing subcontractors’ scope, financials, and schedule.
    • Negotiation of change orders with customer representatives.
    • Material, logistics, and asset management.
    • Creation of RFIs and submittals.
    • Construction QA/QC, safety, and compliance.
    • Demonstrated experience with developing work breakdown structures for the design and implementation of complex projects.
    • Demonstrated experience with documentation of project requirements.
  • Customer Relations
    • Demonstrated experience performing technical cross-training/coaching of junior staff.
    • Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills with the ability and experience communicating directly with internal and external executive leadership.
    • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
    • Demonstrated experience creating agendas for and leading stakeholder meetings.
  • Software
    • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
    • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu or Foxit.
    • Experience using Virtualized environments.
    • Experience using Project Management software, Cost software, and CAD.
  • Certifications
    • PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2

Pay range: $113,250 - $181,200
