Position Overview:
The Quality Control Engineer 2 is responsible for following the M.C. Dean Quality Control (QC) Program to achieve and verify quality expectations for a durable and reliable installation. The Quality Control Engineer 2 is responsible for performing field inspections to ensure work is in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Position Responsibilities:
- Document tailored processes across the value stream using ISO, CMMI, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, PMBOK, ITIL and other internationally recognized process frameworks.
- Collaborates with other members of management to develop new processes and methods in assigned functional areas
- Creates product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures
- Understand challenges in the existing AS-IS processes and recommend improvements for process optimization
- Identify technical and administrative controls and create rules, policies, and procedures for the control implementation.
- Lead all activities involving quality assurance, compliance, audits, deliverables, and process improvement.
- Conduct project specific audits to measure the degree of adherence to documented policies and procedures.
- Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Develop project scorecard on Quality Assurance and report to project and executive teams on the level of adherence.
- Work on special process improvement projects to identify root cause and put in place corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
Education, Experience & Qualifications Required:
- 2-4 Years of experience with a Bachelors Science Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, with Industrial/Systems Engineering preferred.
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Extensive knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC 3-Phase Quality Control System.
