Position:  Kinder Readiness Teachers

Location: GH Louisiana - Varies                                             

 

Overview:  Great Hearts Academies Summer Programs are seeking well-qualified Kinder Readiness Teachers to support our unique Kinder Readiness Summer Program during the month of June. Kinder Readiness is designed to acclimate incoming Kindergarten students to the Archway Schools, Great Hearts curriculum, and the academy teachers. Each week scholars will practice the skills needed in Kindergarten. Kinder Readiness Teachers facilitate the program, supervise Kinder Readiness scholars, and implement lesson plans and activities provided in our standard Kinder Readiness curriculum.

 

Required traits: Some college (preferably a bachelor’s degree with elementary education or liberal arts major), experience with children, experience executing creative lessons and activities, strong classroom management skills, excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to lead and teach children. The program is open Monday-Friday. Kinder Readiness Teachers work five days per week from 7:30AM to 1:00PM. Pay is competitive to commensurate with experience.

 

Additional Requirements:

Successful completion of fingerprinting and background check with Louisiana State Police is required.

Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 25 pounds.
