POSITION: After-School Lead Teacher

Salary Range: $16.00-16.50/hour
Position Summary
Co-Curricular Lead Teachers facilitate program activities and supervise students. Must meet ADHS qualifications for Lead Teacher. This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring educators or for those who love working with children. This is a part-time, seasonal, non-exempt, non-benefited position. After-school programs are open Monday-Friday from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. (earlier start on early release days). Approximately 15-20 hours per week.
Duties & Responsibilities
Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths
Some college preferred but not required. The successful candidate will be a principled, professional leader with an independent work ethic and a heart of service to others. They must demonstrate sound business judgment and wisdom dealing with people. Preference will be given to those candidates who have worked at a licensed program. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess or ability to obtain valid Arizona Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance card, and a negative TB test. First aid/CPR certification preferred but not required. Lead Teachers must have 6 months experience or a degree in education or a related field.
Additional Requirements
Type of fingerprint clearance: Must possess or obtain valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP fingerprint clearance card.
Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
Travel required: May need to travel locally to the various academies within the Phoenix metro area.
