JOB SPECIFICATION

POSITION: Campus Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Great Hearts Lead Office, Co-Curricular Programs        

LOCATION: GH Louisiana - Varies                                     

REPORTS TO: Regional Manager

EEO Classification: Professional

FLSA STATUS: Salaried-Exempt

Salary Range: $39,000-45,000/year

 

Position Summary

The Co-Curricular Campus Coordinator manages and operates all Great Hearts Co-Curricular programs at their assigned location including After-School Athenaeum and Summer Programs. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible position.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage budget for payroll and supply expenses.
  • Promote program through provided marketing strategies.
  • Grow and maintain program enrollment.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with academy administration, students, and parents.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and provide performance feedback to direct reports.
  • Follow quality assurance measures to maintain excellence of program offerings, operations, and state licensure.
  • Escalate incident reports to Regional Manager.
  • Adhere to Great Hearts policies, procedures, and business initiatives.
  • Attend regular meetings at home office and other local business locations.
  • Substitute in classroom if needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths

The successful candidate will be a principled, professional leader with an independent work ethic and a heart of service to others. They must demonstrate sound business judgment and wisdom dealing with people.  They will possess requisite experience in the field of liberal arts and/or education, as well as a minimum of two years of experience with children and children’s programming. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. College degree in related field preferred. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

 

Additional Requirements

  • CPR/First Aid certification required upon hire. 
  • Successful completion of fingerprinting and background check with Louisiana State Police is required.

 

Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.

 

Travel required: May need to travel locally to academies within the Baton Rouge area.
