Seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Supply Chain Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment to provide support for a long-term construction rail project in Oakland, CA.

 

Requirements:

The Contractor will perform a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.

Accountabilities:

With reference to activities on a “low complexity" project/bids: Timely delivery of materials in accordance with Integrated Project Schedule and Budget. Finalization & submission of make and buy external cost estimation.

  • Ensure the issuing of an estimation of the overall external costs for the bid

  • Ensure the external cost planning and forecast (for materials, services, packages, and subcontractors) during the project execution in collaboration with the cost controlling dept.

  • Ensure the project material delivery (including spare parts and repairing of failed material) in accordance with the project plan

  • Ensure the “launch of the production” on the basis of project requirements

  • (Transfer orders, Purchase orders, advance demand, ...) in alignment with the project schedule

  • Ensure the issuing of the Purchase Requests for all materials, external services, packages, and subcontractors to ensure project on-time delivery

  • Ensure the creation of an SES (Service Entry Sheet) and Work Progress Certificate (WPC), based on the supplier's achievement of project milestones, authorizing the Subcontractor to issue an invoice

With reference to activities under the coordination of a Senior Supply Chain Planner on “high/medium complexity" projects: Contribute to the delivery of the project under the coordination of the Supply Chain Planner /Senior Supply Chain Planner.

  • Contribute to internal expediting with Engineering (for Purchase Technical

  • Specification and BoQ submission) and with Procurement (for quotations from suppliers).

  • Contribute to the submission and update of the external cost estimate (Cost Estimation Template)

  • Contribute to the submission of the supply planning documentation (including logistic plan)

  • Collect the warehouses' inventory reports.

  • Coordinate the preparation of shipping documentation with the Supply Support.

  • Ensure Branch Purchase Request release and reporting. 

Performance Criteria: 

  • CET form completed and issued in alignment with the bid schedule

  • Material and service delivery in alignment with the Project Integrated Schedule, Logistic plan available and up to date

  • Inventory reports for company and/or project warehouses available and up to date. Timely fulfillment of the assigned tasks

 

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • 2-3 years experience in Supply Chain role

  • Knowledge of SAP ERP System or similar tool
