Seeking an Assistant Construction Coordinator to support our client in Oakland, CA.
Requirements:
To perform the typical tasks and duties of the position successfully, the required knowledge includes:
- Construction contract administration requirements
- Contract provisions
- Port administrative procedures
- Technical duties of engineering and inspection personnel
Work Hours: This position is 7.5 hours a day, 37.5 hours per week, and is intended to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Qualifications:
Required Abilities:
- Exercising sound judgment within general policy guidelines
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties and to work as a team
- Work under deadlines and coordinate several concurrent assignments
- Analyze and solve problems of a complex nature
- Write clear and concise reports
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field and two years of responsible experience in construction contract administration.
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience in relevant activities may be considered.
License Requirements:
- Must possess a valid California Class C driver license at the time and for the duration of appointment.
- Successful completion of a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check, which will include a fingerprint- based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC), prior to being considered for this position. This status must be maintained for employment.
