OBJECTIVE: 
Ensure the health and safety of the children who are in the center.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: 
Will spend sometime outside supervising the children in all types of weather. Will need to change diapers and assist with toilet training.  Assist with lunches and snack time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Always be Barona NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting.
2. Create lesson plans and schedules on a weekly basis
3. Keep attendance records, as well as injury reports
4. Conduct developmental observations within 60 days of child’s enrollment
5. Submit reports to director as requested
6. Attend at least two training’s conferences or classes, pertaining to Early Childhood Education per calendar year
7. Perform duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
2. Must have twelve units in Early Childhood Education or be currently enrolled
3. Must have an ability to work with people of all backgrounds, solve problems and to do written reports

Staff members hired into the following positions are considered Mandatory Reporters for purposes of reporting known or suspected child abuse incidents. As a Mandatory Reporter, staff members must complete an on-line training class, and submit a Certificate of Completion before being hired by the Barona Resort & Casino.  The course is located at: http://mandatedreporterca.com/

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 
At least six months working in a child care setting
