OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for assisting in the training and development of the staff. Assists and supervises floor operations to ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in a smoking, casino environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Always be NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting
  2. Enforces performance standards, policies, and procedures according to Food and Beverage and Casino guidelines.
  3. Assists in complying with all food and beverage health and safety regulations, as well as all federal, state and local applicable laws.
  4. Responsible for assisting with the scheduling, evaluating and training of the staff, ensuring staff’s compliance with all guest service standards.
  5. Ensures floor operations are run in a smooth and efficient manner, providing assistance as needed.
  6. Reviews and makes suggestions to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, evaluate, assign and discipline staff members in a fair and equitable manner.
  7. Maximizes cost effectiveness, by ensuring compliance with established budget, labor and revenue benchmarks.
  8. Responsible for listening to, evaluating and assuring control of guest's complaints.
  9. Monitors job performance of staff members and provide feedback on it to aid the staff members in developing and enhancing skills.
  10. Confers with manager concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention.
  11. Assists in maintaining consistent, regular attendance records for staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of Food and Beverage service, sanitation and health codes
Guest service, public relations, oral/written communication and computer skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Bilingual in English and Spanish is desirable
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Current Food Handlers Education Certificate
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three years supervisory experience
