The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a qualified Janitor to support our contract with Range Support Services II (RSSII) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Maintains buildings, facilities, shops and surrounding grounds/areas at assigned facilities or contract operations sites. Work performed includes but not limited to sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors; washing windows and walls; dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures and emptying waste cans. Work is done by hand or with powered equipment. The objective of this position is to keep the site in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Position is represented by a Union Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Work involves repetitive motions and standing for long periods of time. Work may involve hazardous noise areas. May be required to perform work using and/or wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and risk of electrical shock. Other Responsibilities: Safety - enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. As appropriate, each employee is responsible for completing all training requirements and fulfilling all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams.
