Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000 annually
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator with expertise in Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) for school projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality FF&E that meets educational standards and project specifications. In addition, the other big area of focus for this role will include helping to standardize other purchasing across the network in an effort to realize efficiencies and economies of scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement procurement strategies for school FF&E to align with project timelines and budgets
Conduct market analysis to identify cost-effective and innovative solutions for educational environments
Collaborate with architects, designers, and educational stakeholders to ensure FF&E selections meet functional and aesthetic requirements
Supplier & Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with FF&E manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure value for money while maintaining quality and compliance
Establish and maintain vendor performance metrics to ensure reliability and service quality
Develop and implement contract management system across all areas of the CMO Track and manage contract renewals, contract files, warranties, etc.
Budgeting & Cost Control
Develop procurement budgets and track expenditures to ensure cost control
Analyze bids and proposals to determine the best value for the school projects
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or compliance
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all procurement activities comply with local and national regulations, as well as school safety and durability standards
Work with quality control teams to inspect and approve FF&E deliveries before installation
Stay updated on industry best practices, sustainability initiatives, and innovative procurement methods
Project Coordination & Logistics
Oversee logistics, delivery schedules, and installation processes to ensure smooth project execution
Work closely with project managers, contractors, and school administrators to coordinate FF&E installations
Address any procurement-related issues that arise during the project lifecycle
Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate with school leadership, facility managers, and educators to align procurement decisions with educational needs
Provide recommendations on FF&E selection based on user experience, durability, and maintenance considerations
Conduct post-installation evaluations to gather feedback and improve future procurement processes
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in educational FF&E or construction-related procurement
Experience working on large-scale school projects is highly desirable
Technical & Soft Skills:
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Knowledge of FF&E materials, specifications, and educational furniture trends
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to pivot and adapt to change
Preferred Certifications:
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) (a plus)
Additional Requirements
Type of fingerprint clearance: Must possess or obtain valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Level One fingerprint clearance card.
Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
