Overall Scope:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will learn project management methodologies and strategies and become adept with our company systems. This role involves performing various administrative assignments in support of one or more projects. Under supervisory guidance, you'll set goals and complete tasks within set timeframes and financial limits.

 

Project Manager Duties Include:

  • Analyzing construction documents to ensure interpretations are clear and consistent.
  • Gaining familiarity with the materials, equipment, and technical systems installed by our team.
  • Alerting the project management team to potential issues, including work interferences or schedule challenges, and learning solutions to overcome these problems.
  • Writing and editing business communications such as letters, memos, reports, and procedures as directed.
  • Managing day-to-day administrative tasks (e.g., processing expense reports, supply requisitions, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and procurement) as instructed by your supervisor.
  • Preparing special reports, conducting studies, and performing statistical analysis as requested by your supervisor, which may include research, development, and interpretation of data with minimal guidance.
  • Understanding project schedules, forecasting manpower needs, and evaluating subcontractor performance.
  • Assisting with the research and preparation of field change requests to resolve design issues.
  • Continuously updating and ensuring the accuracy of as-built documents.
  • Attending project coordination meetings and meetings with owners, contractors, architects, and engineers as required.
  • Proactively pursuing career development opportunities, utilizing resources within the company, and seeking additional training to succeed as a project manager.
  • Taking on additional assignments as directed by your supervisor.

Travel Requirements:

  • 0 - 25% (Note: This may vary among individuals in this position)

Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 3 years of field experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with a willingness to learn new software systems.
  • Required to obtain OSHA-30 certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • Must be courteous, professional, diplomatic, and highly motivated.
