Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using their expertise, the Cyber Security Engineer evaluates the end-to-end systems and systems oriented products to ensure compliance to government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification for the PdM FPS product suite. 
  • Provides feedback to software and systems engineering teams for improvements or required modifications to bring the products into compliance. 
  • Assesses the performance of systems and prepares certification packages for submission and manages certification process to completion.

To Land This Job, You Need:

  • Provide cybersecurity and information assurance oversight for all systems within the PdM FPS portfolio to ensure cyber readiness from acquisition to decommissioning
  • Develops and submits certification packages to maintain accreditation of systems in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Manage and update FISMA reporting, COOP, and Incident Management testing in the Army Portfolio Management System (APMS)
  • Provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Create system security plans, categorize systems, select security controls, update and review Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M)
  • Manage assessment and authorization (A&A) activities based on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requirements
  • Validate all system documentation and diagrams for the A&A package, working with product managers, program managers, system engineers, and administrators
