Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Security Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in installing and programming security systems, including access control panels, motion detectors, cameras, card readers, glass breaks, mag locks, and turnstiles. This position requires the ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision and report directly to the Project Manager (PM) or other management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, wire, and mount access control panels.
  • Install motion detectors, cameras, card readers, glass breaks, mag locks, and turnstiles.
  • Program access control panels and card readers for door access.
  • Program IP addresses for cameras.
  • Ensure all installations meet company standards and client specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on installed systems.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine optimal equipment placement.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Provide training and support to junior technicians as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and system configurations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security system installation and programming.
  • Proficiency in programming access control systems and IP cameras.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.

Note: This position may require occasional travel to job sites within the region.
