THE ROLE  
We are looking to welcome some trades professionals on a casual basis to our Building Services team. They will responsible for the base building technical services and general building operations during our events. Some of the tasks involved may include light globe replacement, unblocking toilets, adjusting temperature requirements, fixing lift operational issues, investigating gas odours and making safe items that cannot be fixed immediately.

Our thriving precinct operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Work often takes place during early mornings, late nights and on weekends. To be successful in this role, your availability should be aligned to these times and include being available during the peak event times between August and March each year, where you will be rostered onto shifts according to event  requirements across our Precinct .  

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

• General trade skills and knowledge of multiple trades  
• Minimum trade qualified (electrical or HVAC desirable) 
• Demonstrated ability to manage building technical services inclusive of ‘trouble shooting’ and rectification 
• Experienced in the management and monitoring of Building Automated Systems (BAS) 
• Thorough understanding of OH&S 
• The ability to use technology to maintain electronic records 
• The ability to work flexible hours 
• The ability to work within a team environment 
• Capability to assist across multiple trades 

Desirable but not essential 

• First Aid - Level 2 or above
