Management Concepts, Inc. is currently recruiting a Cohort Facilitator for our new acquisition and contracting professional development program, Career Gateway: Acquisition contracting. This exciting new program improves upon current compliance based technical training. It provides new contracting professionals with competency-based outcome focused experiential learning that better prepares them to apply what they learn on the job and be mission-focused solution makers who can drive solutions to meet mission requirements.

In this role, you will guide a cohort of participants through a compelling journey as they navigate contracting activities from foundation through all four phases of the acquisition lifecycle. Participants will have a unique opportunity to learn and apply technical knowledge in conjunction with professional (soft) skills within a robust storyline that unfolds through learning experiences. During this journey, participants will apply their knowledge through experiential learning and gamified activities/simulations that put the participant in the driver’s seat as a trusted contracting professional. Participants will experience the impact of their decisions on the mission in a controlled (safe) environment.

You will also be called on to apply your acquisition and contracting expertise as the subject matter expert (SME) by participating in the development of program course materials, including but not limited to web-based learning events, program scenarios, program learning materials, and program coaching activities.

•    Encourage participants to think critically to reach solutions for training events and reach their own conclusions with limited facilitator intervention. Understand participants' thought process and provide guidance on how to reach a better solution, as required
•    Provide coaching and encouragement to cohort participants.  Communicate both strengths and opportunities for improvement.  Work with cohort members to develop a plan and provide tips for strengthening skills.
•    Participate and/or lead efforts to recruit and train additional program facilitators to accommodate multiple on-going program deliveries

•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    Willingness to actively participate in learning development to shape the Career Gateway: Acquisition contracting professional development program

Desired:
•    Acquisition policy experience
•    Strong business acumen and ability to understand the contractor business processes and motivations
