An IT Service Delivery Director is responsible for the growth and leadership of a portfolio of projects within LCG’s Service Delivery Team. They will provide direct oversight of projects for the Federal Government supporting biomedical research and thought leadership to LCG clients, project teams and executive leadership. They will be responsible for the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, which includes Infrastructure and Operations, Application Services, and Cybersecurity. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead complex IT modernization projects for federal customers with quantifiable results of growth, increased customer satisfaction and mission alignment.

The Director ensures outcomes that conform to LCG mission, values, and strategies and networks with business partners, vendors, and independent consultants to remain current with industry and technology developments. They will lead LCG business development efforts as the Capture Manager for assigned opportunities through all phases of the BD lifecycle, including proposal writing, solution development, and direct engagement with clients.


  • Organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of contract operational support functions involving multiple complex and inter-related project tasks that often require managing and mentoring teams of contractor personnel at multiple locations
  • Support LCG R&D and our customers Transform and Optimize by accelerating Agile & DevSecOps, XaaS, cloud-native solutions, customer experience, serverless hosting solutions and performance management
  • Grow revenue on existing projects, identifying opportunities for scope expansion
  • Provide technical and administrative direction for project acquisition, development and growth
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships with senior representatives from each customer
  • Consult with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with task schedules and costs and contractual obligations
  • Continually create, implement, refine, and execute policy, procedure, system monitoring and controls for consistent service delivery
  • Promote integration across projects to enhance employee participation and reskilling
  • Establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and assume the initiative and provide support to marketing personnel in identifying and acquiring potential business
  • Document technical requirements, develop and oversee project plans and implement change control procedures
  • Work collaboratively through LCG’s Reach-back Support and peers. Identify and capture new opportunities within area of expertise and supporting all phases of business development


Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Specific background skills include:

  • Datacenter Operations
  • Service Desk/Deskside Support
  • Cloud Migrations & Hybrid Cloud Operations
  • IT Modernization and Transformation
  • NIST Standards & FISMA/FedRAMP Guidelines
  • DevOps development skills including Agile, Scrum, CI/CD


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field; MBA or Master’s preferred in related field
  • 7 or more years of direct project management experience; 10 or more years in implementation of technology solutions in the area of health IT or related disciplines
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) experience preferred
  • ITIL and PMP Certification required; Federal contracting experience required
  • CISSP, Azure, SAFe, SCRUM or other Federal IT relevant certifications preferred
