Areté, an employee-owned company, is a growing research and development firm recognized for contributing to national security objectives by supplying innovative solutions to challenging technical problems faced by the United States. Our Tucson, AZ office has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Receiving Inspector reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. This is a non-exempt non-supervisory full-time position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection of incoming material across multiple programs and will interact often with the Production team, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Quality Engineers. Specifically the candidate will be responsible for completing quality inspections on materials and assemblies coming from external suppliers, thoroughly documenting non-conformances within the non-conformance database and actively participating in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings. The candidate will also be responsible to assist in reporting quality metrics with Quality Engineers to assist with tracking supplier nonconformance trends, tracking the effectiveness of continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS).
