Title: Loan Syndications Officer
Location: Sioux Falls, SD
Builder Finance Inc. (BFI) is the growing lender to homebuilders and housing investors. Launched in 2014, BFI now has multiple, coast-to-coast lending programs.
The Loan Syndications Officer will help build and maintain relationships with clients that purchase interests in BFI loans. This position will play a critical role in enhancing business productivity and reducing single counterparty risk exposures.
The role requires strong interpersonal skills. The Loan Syndications Officer is given substantial responsibility to help build new relationships, primarily with banks and other regulated institutions. In addition to potential “warm” introductions, this role should expect to make cold calls.
This position is expected to advocate for BFI loans. Good credit judgment and relative value knowledge are required. The Loan Syndication Officer is expected to become versed in how BFI operates and stay up-to-date on BFI originations and performance.
Client service is a top priority. The schedule of the Loan Syndications Officer should be flexible so as to accommodate client coverage during non-standard working hours.
Within the first year of employment, a successful hire will facilitate at least $20 million of loan sales. Compensation includes a market salary plus a success-based bonus component.
