Job Summary:
The Mental Health Unit Admin Coordinator II primary functions are to track and organize incoming referral packets from outside facilities as well as filing relevant legal documents and communication with the court system regarding mental commitment cases.
This position also assists in the tracking and ordering of unit supplies and equipment and collaborates with other Mental Health Unit staff to field incoming communication in the nurses’ station via phone, fax, and email.
Other duties such as requesting records from outside facilities and general front desk duties may apply. Position requires professional and courteous communication with all.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
Experience(s): Three (3) years of administrative experience required.
Substitution: One year of administrative experience working at a hospital, physician’s office, clinic, or related work setting may substitute for the 3 years of administrative experience.
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires: This position starts at $27.40 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
