About the Role

We are looking to welcome Event and Venue Operations Team Members to join our team on a casual basis. In this role, you’ll work in a fast-paced, customer service-driven environment, ensuring that tasks are completed safely and on time. Responsibilities include tasks like stage setups, crash barrier builds, venue conversions, and setting out patron queuing barriers—all of which may involve physical labor and manual handling.

If you enjoy a variety of tasks and working in a hands-on environment, this is the job for you!

Our precinct operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the work often takes place during early mornings, late nights, overnights, and weekends. Flexibility to work during peak event periods between August and March is essential, as you’ll be rostered onto shifts according to our event calendar across multiple venues. Whether you're a student looking to break into the event industry or have experience in physically demanding roles like loaders, pushers, or roadies , we encourage you to apply.

What You Will Need to Be Successful in the Role:

  • Physical fitness to handle a range of tasks that may require lifting, moving equipment, or assisting with venue setup and takedown.
  • Experience with manual tools and equipment, and an understanding of safe manual handling practices.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills to address challenges on the fly.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of health and safety principles, especially in manual handling and safe work practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with clients and fellow team members.

Desirable but Not Essential:

  • A forklift license.
  • Previous experience in Event and/or Venue Operations or similar roles (e.g., stagehand, rigger, AV tech, event warehousing).
  • A truck, EWP, or current driver’s license.

Our Recruitment Process:

  1. Assessment Centre / Group Interview
  2. References and Background Checks
  3. Selection and Offer

To be eligible for consideration, you must be able to attend our Assessment Centre on Monday, 14th April from 5.30pm to approximately 7.30/8pm.

If you're ready for a role that combines physical activity with variety and the opportunity to work in a dynamic team, we want to hear from you!

Please note: Applications close on Thursday, 10th April.
