 Job Description:

We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Navy Personnel, Maintenance, Training, or Ordnance management with the desire to grow into the role of Software Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester. You’ll be joining our Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise team supporting U.S. Navy Fleet Forces Command. If you’re excited about supporting readiness data analysis and reporting for the United States Navy, this may be the perfect role for you.

In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced environment writing, executing, and maintaining test scripts and queries. You’ll be in constant communication with our Software Development Team to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your creativity and problem-solving skills will be put to good use as you help us maintain the highest standards of quality.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Write, execute, and maintain test scripts and queries
  • Communicate daily with the Software Development Team
  • Ensure software quality through various testing techniques
  • Identify, document, and prioritize technical issues and bugs
  • Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Gather and document business requirements

 

 Here's what you need:

  • Expertise in Navy Personnel, Maintenance, Supply, Training, or Ordnance Management
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and process improvement experience
  • Experience in a Navy or other DoD work environment
  • Ability to work as a member of a team or individually
  • A desire to learn/grow skills needed to be a software tester

 

Bonus points if you have:

  • Lean/Six-Sigma experience or certification
  • Experience within a software development environment
  • Experience writing test cases, creating test scenarios, executing test scripts, and analyzing test results
  • Expertise with system testing, integration testing, functional testing, backend testing, regression testing, or user acceptance testing
  • Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing

 

Security Clearance:

  • Active Secret security clearance

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

 

Work Schedule:

  • Onsite/hybrid
