You will sit in our Providence, RI or North Kingstown, RI office and will work in a hybrid work environment.

Our Water Team & Projects
Nearly 100 professional engineers strong and recent recipients of multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients. We provide planning, design, and construction phase services for the new construction, rehabilitation, and upgrading of water and wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations. We also provide structural design and construction phase services for municipal buildings (maintenance facilities, office buildings, and schools), retaining walls, parking garages, dams and spillways, and bridges.

What will you be doing? 
You will be assisting the Water team in researching, compiling, and examining a wide variety of structure related data as well as creating concept-level design of treatment works and perform computations for stormwater and watershed planning, and water quality studies. You will help perform engineering calculations, proofreading, and copying of various reports and specs. There is the potential to learn and perform light drafting tasks and design tasks in AutoCAD.

What do you need? 
You will need to be currently enrolled and pursing a BS in Civil or Environment Engineering, or a related engineering degree along with at least 2 years of completed course work. You will need to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a desire to solve engineering problems, flexibility, a positive attitude, and open mindedness. It would be helpful to have experience using design software.

Our internships offer students the opportunity to work on real assignments across multiple disciplines, while also directly relating to their coursework. Students are paired with a “buddy” and supervisor, both of which provide day-to-day guidance on projects throughout the summer. We also rely heavily on our internship pool for entry-level full-time openings each year.

Compensation
The starting hourly range for candidates is: $19-$26 per hour. Your rate is determined based upon completed years of education.
