SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT (SME)

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Acme Brick Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is an organization of professionals in the manufacturing and building material distribution industry.  We manufacture brick and distribute our own brick as well as brick and associated products manufactured by others.  We operate in 13 states with a philosophy that we are much more than a brick manufacturer and distributor.

Summary

We are currently seeking a “best in class” Subject Matter Expert (SME) with excellent organization skills and a personable disposition.  The ideal candidate serve as a liaison between systems personnel and end users on software applications throughout the company and have a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations, maintaining procedures and communication.  Not only will your efforts allow us to achieve organizational efficiency, you will nurture the pleasant work environment our people love.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) This is a safety sensitive position.

·         Train and inform associates as requested by management or other departments on software applications

·         Aide in the design and implementation of new software applications and processes

·         Create and update training materials following established guidelines

·         Request role and security levels for users

·         Backup IT Help Desk

·         Provide backup on essential office functions with region of responsibility as needed

Skills and Experience Required for Success

·         3+ years of related experience

·         Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems

Education

·         High school diploma or equivalent required; some college is preferred
