Part Time Career Services Coordinator

The mission of the West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is to “Serve West Point and the Long Gray Line”.  WPAOG is both the alumni association and foundation for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point.  Our vision is to ensure the Long Gray Line remains the most highly connected alumni body in the world.   USMA is renowned as the world's preeminent leadership development institution.  The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.

The WPAOG is seeking a Part Time Career Services Coordinator.  This position reports directly to the Director of Career Services.  The Career Services Coordinator will guide alumni on the effective use of career services tools and resources to increase their competitiveness in the job market and awareness of employment opportunities.  He/She will promote and coordinate cohorts for the WPAOG Transition Navigator program using approved engagement channels.  This position will assist with scheduling, advertising and supporting career services and employer recruitment events including (virtual) job fairs, networking events, information sessions, etc.  Responsibilities include coordinating employer recruitment logistics such as uploading and vetting jobs, creating/sending mass emails, building resume books and managing interview schedules, and traveling to and serving as the Service Academy Career Conference (SACC) Coordinator (Quarterly).

A High School Diploma is required, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred.  Three to 5 years of successful customer service and/or experience in career counseling, talent management or talent acquisition fields is desired.

In addition, candidates must possess exceptional communication skills, verbal and written; must be comfortable multitasking and able to traverse multiple technological platforms.  Must be a self-starter and maintain individual accountability, able to work in a team environment ensuring exceptional customer service experiences with each stakeholder interaction.
