Marine Machinist OJT Instructor/Supervisor

Job Description:

• Perform on the job training of practical factors of the marine machinist trade using mock ups/simulators and actual shipboard demonstrations.

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Minimum 5 years experience in marine machinist valve and component repair of ship related work.
• Knowledge of Naval Shipyard operations.
• Experience in valve overhaul, shaft repair, hydraulics, steam components and mast operations as well as an understanding of precision measuring instruments, systems cleanliness and material requirements.

Degree Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
