Job Description:

·         The Senior Electrical Engineer (EE4) will support the development of the US Navy Watercraft program in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division Detachment Norfolk, Combatant Craft Division (NSWCCDDN), Code 83.

·         The Senior Electrical Engineer (EE4) will support the early-stage definition and analysis of systems related to watercrafts.

It is desired that the candidate's experience supports the follow tasks:

·         The candidate shall have demonstrated capabilities to perform electrical and electronic equipment and systems integration design, including the consideration/analysis of power generation, conversion, and distribution, illumination, interior and exterior communications, navigation, control systems, networks, Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Combat, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems, and other electrical and electronic systems.

·         The candidate will support and perform analysis, calculations, and verification of designs for electrical and electronic systems. The analysis, calculations, and verification of designs for electrical and electronic systems include generation, distribution, energy storage and load systems analysis as well as EMI/EMC predictions and analysis.

·         The candidate will apply a total system engineering analysis capability and support research and engineering analysis on systems/equipment requirements and characteristics.

Required Skills and Experiences:

·         Must be U.S. citizen.

·         An active secret security clearance.

Desired Experience:

·         Ten (10) years of experience in the design, operation, maintenance, or testing of watercraft electrical equipment and systems equipment to include working experience with USCG, ABYC, ABS, and DoD standards for watercraft.

·         Three (3) years of supervisory experience

Degree Requirements:

Required Education:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Desired Education:

·         Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
