Senior Engineer (Engineer III)

Job Description:

·       Position is for the Senior Engineer, NSWCPD Code 251/252, to support the Sustainment & Modernization Branch (Code 251) and the Technology Deployment Branch (Code 252) and execute Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Machinery System integration initiatives and manage Major Modernization programs focusing on ship alterations Machinery Alterations (MACHALTs). 

The Senior Engineer will have excellent organizational, communications, and presentation skills.

 Required Skills and Experience:

·       Target Experience: Seven (7) years of professional experience within industry as a system, electrical, and/or electronics engineer.

·       Three (3) years of professional experience within industry acting as a lead engineer.

·       Three (3) years of professional experience troubleshooting hardware/software systems.

·       Three (3) years of experience in surface combatant navigation, ship control, or integrated bridge control systems.

·       Three (3) years of professional experience reading electrical schematics.

·       Three (3) years of professional experience troubleshooting network-based systems.

 Requirements:

·       Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university.

·       Must be a U.S. citizen.

·       Must have an active secret security clearance.
