Lead Knowledge Manager

Bremerton, WA

 Responsibilities:

  • The KMSS Lead will provide leadership and mentoring to the other KMSS's and provide program level meeting/event support, directly to the CT1 Program.
  • Provide on-site/off-site knowledge management support to the CT1 Community Leaders (e.g., KSN Process Masters, KMSO, CT1 PD, Focal Points) in the planning and execution of all aspects of the knowledge management process, as well as assist in the planning and facilitation of knowledge management events.
  • Brief the Program Director, Executive Steering Committee, Line Leaders, Knowledge Management System Owner (KMSO), Knowledge Sharing System Owner (KSSO), KSN Process Masters, and/or KM Focal Points on trends in CT1 Knowledge Management, process improvements, or developments in alternative KM tools/practices that provide information or add practicality to CT1 Knowledge Management.
  • Responsible for the acquisition, tracking, and operational training of Audio/Visual (A/V) Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
  • Must attend and participate in KSN meetings and CVN Retrospect’s on a regular basis to stay current on program health and identify opportunities for knowledge sharing and training.
  • Ensure that KM Support Staff receive periodic training, provide updates on ongoing mission support items, and discuss any challenges that may hinder work performance.
  • Provide support for recurring reviews or specialized ad hoc research/working groups as needed to support program requirements.

 Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management discipline or technical management and 5 years professional experience directly involved in the planning and execution of CVN availabilities from a public or private shipyard’s perspective. -OR- Associate degree Business Management discipline or technical management and 7 years professional experience directly involved in the planning and execution of CVN availabilities from a public or private shipyard’s perspective. -OR- 7 years professional experience in Knowledge Management and 10 years professional experience directly involved in the planning and execution of CVN availabilities from a public or private shipyard’s perspective.
  • With a bachelor’s degree in business management discipline or technical management, 5 years professional experience directly involved in the planning and execution of CVN availabilities from a public or private shipyard’s perspective. -OR- With an associate degree Business Management discipline or technical management, 7 years professional experience directly involved in the planning and execution of CVN availabilities from a public or private shipyard’s perspective. -OR- 7 years professional experience in Knowledge Management and 10 years professional experience directly involved in the planning and execution of CVN availabilities from a public or private shipyard’s perspective.
