Responsibilities:

Position is for the Data Base Administrator, NSWCPD Code 00Q support, to be part of team supporting Quality Assurance and Technical Administration Support services.  This support will include supporting: Quality Management System Program, Systems Engineering Process (SEP) Quality Assurance Program, Shipboard Work Quality Assurance Program, Command Level I Material Program, SUBSAFE Program Office, Special Programs/Test Site Quality Assurance, and Naval Foundry Propeller Center (NFPC).

The primary support will be to the NSWCPD Quality Management Office C/00Q Quality Management System (QMS). The QMS is focused on consistently meeting customer requirements and enhancing customer satisfaction, ensuring that functional areas are compliant with Navy standards and the NSWCPD QMS. The QMS Division ensures that the performance and quality of services conform to established internal and external standards and guidelines. NSWCPD C/00Q is responsible for providing quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement, and the oversight of functional areas to ensure continuous process improvements are implemented. The QMS team facilitates and participates in Critiques and trouble reports, conducts audits, surveillances and self-assessments, inputs, tracks and evaluates command quality commitments, maintains Quality Management System (QMS) and website repositories.

The Data Base Administrator will be part of the support team to ensure, enact, and validate project execution in accordance with Department of Navy requirements and within time constraints.  The Data Base Administrator will consistently monitor and measure quality commitments within NSWCPD QMS database to ensure regulatory obligations are being met. This individual will interact with Code 00Q and appropriate government personnel to provide an overall summary of the on-going performance of the QMS.  Specific tasks include:

-          tracking, maintenance, and accuracy of the QMS website, database, and Code 00Q SharePoint site. Tasking includes, but is not limited to: development tracking and management of quality commitments, document scanning, and uploading to the government sites.

-          product and service responses of Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in the Command Quality Tracking System (CQTS).

-          QMS configuration controls of data logs, checklist, templates, presentations, quality metrics and trends.

-          QMS CAPA program and monitor all corrective/preventive actions to ensure that implementation is accurate, and completed according to QMS procedures and policies.

-          Document Control and support functional departments to ensure timely implementation for management of the database tracking.

 

Data Base Administrator will have experience with data entry and gap analysis.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field of study from an accredited College or University. The requirement for Bachelor’s Degree may be waived if the proposed candidate has at least a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least five (5) years total of recent experience in Database Administration.
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience in Database Administration.
    • The Data Base Administrator will possess the following skills and perform the following duties:
      • Experience with Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
      • Identify, organize, and control software and hardware configuration changes.
      • Identify and coordinate processes for version management, system build, backup and recovery, archiving, and change management.
      • Support and facilitate auditing and reporting.
      • Oversee baseline configurations for applications, software, and hardware assets.
      • Experience with gap analysis
