Grants Instructors

Management Concepts, Inc. Instructors engage audiences that reflect the diversity of the Federal grants community. You must be comfortable delivering courses to an array of Federal grant program managers and administrators, recipients (state and local governments, tribal governments, nonprofits, universities, and for-profit entities) and auditors.  Travel is required.

Instructor Excellence

All Management Concepts Instructors are skilled in the course content, instructional techniques, and adult learning theory. We require that you present information in an objective, unbiased manner. At the same time, you add value to the written material by offering relevant illustrations or experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Present 1, 2, 3, and 4-day courses to groups of up to 40 students; facilitate multi-week asynchronous online courses, virtual seminars, and/ or blended approach
  • Apply principles of adult learning in course presentations
  • Participate in Management Concepts training on course ware, classroom technologies, and other topics to enhance the student experience
  • Deliver material according to Instructor Guide and pursuant ot published course descriptions and schedules
  • Provide timely and actionable feedback on course materials
  • Deliver client-specific version of course in onsite presentations

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Educate others on governmentwide rules governing the grants process, including 2 CFR 200 and FAR 31.2
  • Explain legal requirements and best practices in the grans environment clearly and accurately
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Federal grants process from preaward through closeout
  • Ability to answer student questions and support answers with citations to uniform administrative requirements and cost principles, where applicable
  • Go “deep” into topics ranging from how to apply and manage grants to monitoring to Single Audits

 

Required Skills

  • 10+ years’ experience in Federals grants and financial assistance at a Federal awarding agency, pass-through entity, or recipient organization
