We provide Subject Matter Experts (SME) free of Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) focused on independent analysis and mission support services within the disciplines of Engineering, Counter Terrorism Operations, Management, Information Technology, Signals Analysis, Administration, Cyber Security and Linguistics.

 

FTS has an immediate opportunity for an Acquisition Specialist in Northern Virginia.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with government technical and contract staff to develop acquisition strategies to enable program development and implementation
  • Work with government technical and contract staff to develop program acquisition packages
  • Draft contract documents for government contract officer review and signature
  • Provide acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluation of proposals
  • Work with technical staff to capture technical and programmatic requirements
  • Develop acquisition packages in accordance with government acquisition checklists
  • Draft common acquisition artifacts such as statement of work, CDRLs, In Scope Determination, and proposal evaluation criteria
  • Provide acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluation of proposals
  • Enter funding information into customer financial tools

 

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Top Secret/SCI with a polygraph 
  • BS/BA Degree (any discipline)
  • 10+ years of contract acquisition experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC)
  • Ability to work within a customer oriented environment and provide quality service
  • Ability to participate productively as a contributing member in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
  • Ability to identify problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendations
  • Ability to make sound, well-informed, and objective recommendations; perceives the impact and implications of recommendations; commits to action, even in uncertain situations, to accomplish organizational goals; causes positive change
