Position Summary:   

Support day-to-day operations that are broad in nature and are concerned with system security design, risk reduction, implementation, and integration. Provide guidance and support to technical and programmatic requirements derivation, especially focused on meeting security requirements, and provide senior technical guidance and leadership to engineering, analysis, and development teams. Incorporate best practices, standards, and processes through team collaboration to provide timely, technically sound recommendations that meet customer requirements and ensure optimal efficiency and performance of deployed systems. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs a variety of related tasks that are broad in nature and are related to development and integration, assessment and management of system architecture, system design, risk reduction, implementation and integration, including personnel, hardware, software and support facilities and/or equipment for Cyber systems. The scope of tasks includes, but is not limited to, software engineering/development, system engineering, collection, computer science, communications, networks, program management, and technical assistance. 
  • Serve as an expert on projects for customers and project teams, provide senior guidance and support to development teams on technical and programmatic requirements, and support requirements analysis and derivation tasks. 
  • Conduct technical studies, analyses, and evaluations to improve organizational knowledge of doctrine, organizational effectiveness, training, leadership, contractor personnel status, and gaps as well as advise on viability of alternative approaches. 
  • Conduct extensive interaction and maintain working relationships among various representatives of the Intelligence Community (e.g. military services, second- and third-party customers and vendors).    

Minimum Required Qualifications:   

  • Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required. 

  • TS/SCI with CI Poly is required.

    • Sixteen (16) years of systems engineering experience on programs that encompassed systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operation. 

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems or related discipline may be substituted for four (4) years of experience, or a Master of Science degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems or related discipline may be substituted for six (6) years’ experience.  

    • Demonstrated ten (10) years of systems engineering experience on programs/projects with communication systems and information technology within an intelligence community environment.

    •  Four (4) years demonstrated experience as a senior systems engineer on complex projects with multiple tasks. 

    • Six (6) years demonstrated experience leading systems engineering teams and estimating resources for systems engineering tasks.   

Working Conditions:  

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager. 

Physical Requirements:  

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday. 

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:  

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
