Job Description: 

InnovaSystems is looking for the right individual to lead to a high-performing software development team building a next generation of data-intensive enterprise Space Force web application supporting the readiness of our nation's military.

The Project Lead will serve as the management, analytical, and functional support bridge between the co-located headquarters client and our software development team members to foster communication, maintain strong relationships and ensure successful project deliverables.

The right candidate will be comfortable serving as an end-to-end as a proxy for the users and customers by interfacing directly with them. Ideal candidates will also be able to demo their product solution fluently and discuss its value proposition to the customer, employees, or stakeholders upon request.

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the customer for all company-related items.
  • Work with VP, HQ Ops, Development Manager, SMEs, Product Owners, and clients on Readiness Reporting for Space Force to build solutions and analyze & define requirements.
  • Possess & continuously develop a clear understanding of the customer’s business environment, problems, and requirements in the Task Order/Performance Work Statement (TO/PWS).
  • Leverage your strong Project Management Expertise with situational awareness on the PWS/TO objectives to ensure alignment of solution services, resources to deliver and communicate the highest results.
  • Ensure that the longer-range planning is occurring between the Product Owner (PO), PjM, DM, SA, and UEX.
  • Write user stories with quality acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with team to develop and define product acceptance criteria.
  • Anticipate customer and stakeholder needs.
  • Proactively garner support for future requirements and development.
  • Quantify team/project performance to evaluate and improve delivery results and shares these with the leadership for CPARs submittals.

 

Here's what you need:

 

  • Five years of experience in Project Management, Product Management, or leading a Software Development Team.
  • Six years’ experience with management of operations-driven project work.
  • Experience as subject matter expert working with readiness and readiness reporting - must be familiar with related policy, directives, and current top task items.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills a must - ability to communicate with customers, stakeholders, and an agile software development team.
  • Organizational, time management, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Experience managing and setting schedules for team.
  • Experience with contracts/bid/estimate for work.
  • Self-starter with experience managing operations and delivery of project deadlines.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Master's Degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Military experience and/or Defense Readiness Reporting familiarization

Security Clearance:

  • An active, DoD-issued SECRET clearance is required; must be TS eligible.

Education: 

  • 5+ Years experience in a Supervisory role or equivalent 3+ years experience in Project Management, Product Management, or leading a Software Development Team. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
